“ Passing the faith to the next generation is vital, and I desire to help by investing in the spiritual lives of men and women.
Biola focuses on Christ-centered education in every course that’s taught, as well as offering excellent Bible courses that impact students for every facet of their lives. A Biola education grounds students in the truths of God’s word, enabling them to influence others for the cause of Christ. I long to help Biola continue pressing on in their mission and further the Kingdom through many lives and that is why I've included Biola in my trust. ”

“ It should be understood that these buildings are not to be a monument to any man, nor to any set of men, but are to forever stand solely for the promulgation of the eternal truths of God’s Holy Word.”

The Lyman Stewart Society exists to honor and recognize Biola University's donors who have made a charitable deferred gift to Biola. The Society is named in honor of Lyman Stewart, founder of Union Oil Company of California, and co-founder of The Bible Institute of Los Angeles. Stewart’s life served to inspire many to involve themselves financially with what God was and still is doing at Biola University. He did so by leading with his own strong example of biblical financial stewardship, a task to which Stewart believed all Christians to be called. Stewart made a charitable deferred gift to Biola from his estate which was distributed through a bequest.
