On December 1, 2015, the Biola community rallied together to raise over $125,000 for student scholarships. Thanks to the generosity of more than 890 donors comprised of students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni and friends, we will be able to distribute over 100 scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year. Please read the following instructions on how to apply for this scholarship.

Who Is Eligible:
All undergraduate and graduate students (part-time or full-time) who plan to be enrolled in classes at Biola during fall 2016 are eligible for this scholarship.
Applicants must currently be enrolled at Biola. Incoming students are not eligble for this scholarship.
Full-time employees of Biola will not be eligible for this scholarship.
Students with 100% tuition waiver, or other institutional aid that covers all tuition and class fees will not be eligible for the scholarship. Graduate students should contact the Financial Aid office to find out if their program is eligible for this scholarship.
Students in certain programs are not eligible to receive the Giving Tuesday Scholarship, including (but not limited to) Doctor of Ministry, MA Apologetics, Talbot Ph.D., Messianic Program-NYC, Kiev, MBA, MA TESOL Online, MA ED Online, Education Certificates Online, MA Science and Religion, Cook ICS Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL), Applied Psychology, and other Online Programs.
International students who have already been granted an institutional need grant may be eligible to receive the scholarship.

Who is eligible for the scholarship?
All undergraduate and graduate students (part-time or full-time) who plan to be enrolled in classes at Biola during fall 2016 are eligible for this scholarship.
How much is the scholarship award?
We will be distributing scholarship awards of $1,000.00.
What can I use the scholarship for?
Scholarships awarded are for use on Biola tuition and class fees only. Scholarships will not be refundable as cash.
When is the scholarship deadline?
The deadline to apply is January 15, 2016.
What if I turn in my application late?
We will not be accepting applications after the January 15th deadline.
Is this scholarship renewable?
No, this scholarship will only be available for the 2016-2017 school year.
Am I able to apply multiple times? Can I submit a second application with edits and corrections if my first application is not accurate?
Applicants are only permitted one attempt. Please ensure your application is correct.
When will the recipients of the scholarship be notified?
We will be notifying selected applicants in February 2016.
If I am graduating before the 2016-2017 school year, am I eligible for this scholarship?
Unfortunately, only students who plan to enrolled in the 2016-2017 school year are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
I am a full-time employee at Biola and I am enrolled in classes at Biola; am I eligible for this scholarship?
Unfortunately, full-time status employees are not eligible for this scholarship.
What happens if I do not return to Biola or I receive a full tuition waiver?
Awardees who do not return for the fall 2016 semester or who lose eligibility based on their receiving 100%-tuition-specific aid (waiver, etc.) will forfeit their scholarship.
