About the Kyiv Extension
The Talbot School of Theology – Kyiv extension holds accreditation by the Association of Theological Schools — the only such accredited institution in Ukraine. Our program offers in-depth training in biblical studies and interpretation and evangelical theology, giving students the tools they need to live out biblical truth in the current Eurasian context. Our graduates are making a Kingdom impact whether God has called them to minister in the church, in parachurch ministries, in secular callings or in evangelical seminaries. God is using their leadership to develop and strengthen believers to advance the gospel in Ukraine and beyond.
Impact Story: Igor Fedorovich
When masses of people gathered on the main square in Kyiv in late 2013 and early 2014, braving freezing temperatures to stand against government corruption and violence, Pastor Igor Fedorovich, a graduate of Talbot’s program, and the members of Resurrection Church sensed God’s call to be salt and light in the midst of the standoff. They set up a prayer tent and gave hot tea and sandwiches to any who desired food and warmth. They kept a tight schedule to ensure that a pastor or church leader was present to pray with or counsel those in need. After the horrific events of February 20, 2014 when close to 100 people were shot dead in the streets, Pastor Fedorovich and others passed out Bibles and Christian literature. Recipients were eager to read and discuss. By choosing to show God’s love and care, especially in the face of violent protests, Igor and his team ministered to many thousands of people in body and soul. Igor credits Talbot courses like Church and Society, Apologetics, and Systematic Theology for providing him a framework to make sense of and inspire this kind of Gospel-centered social engagement.
Supporting the Kyiv Extension
Talbot’s ministry in Kyiv brings quality, Christ-centered education to Slavic evangelical leaders — but the program cannot exist without your help. The extension in Ukraine costs $60,000 annually, which covers airfare for Talbot professors teaching in Kyiv, textbooks, recruiting efforts, and on-site administrative costs.
Please consider partnering with us to bring Talbot’s outstanding theological education to Slavic pastors, educators and church leaders, so that the church in Ukraine can grow in discipleship. Your one-time or recurring gift of any amount — $25, $50, $100 or more — will be used immediately and strategically to equip effective church leaders throughout Eurasia. Thank you!
